PRIVATE COMMISSIONS
A Personal Piece Created in the Eugenika Jewels Studio
EUGENIKA JEWELS is a private jewelry studio based in Saint Petersburg, where one-of-a-kind pieces are created by artist and jeweler Evgeniya Milovidova.
Working with natural gemstones, silver, bronze, gold, ceramics, exotic woods, shells, organic forms, and rare vintage elements sourced from different places around the world, I create jewelry as independent artistic objects — not as repeated models, but as pieces with their own character, history, and inner structure.
Each commission begins with an idea and develops into a unique work created especially for its owner.
ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECES
Most pieces presented in the collections are no longer available and now belong to private collections. They remain as part of the visual archive of EUGENIKA JEWELS — a way to explore the brand’s language, materials, colors, forms, and atmosphere.
I do not create exact replicas of sold pieces.
Natural stones, antique elements, handmade ceramics, wood, shells, and handcrafted metal details always carry their own variations in color, texture, shape, and origin. Every new piece is therefore created from the beginning.
A new work can be inspired by an existing piece — preserving its mood, palette, or compositional idea — while being created with different materials, proportions, and details.
MATERIALS
For each commission, materials are selected individually according to the concept, composition, and character of the future piece.
I work with:
natural gemstones, including turquoise, amethyst, chrysolite, garnet, tourmaline, amber, coral, pearls, and other minerals;
silver;
bronze and jewelry brass;
gold, used either as a finishing element or as the primary metal for selected works;
handcrafted ceramics;
organic materials, including exotic seeds and natural forms;
exotic woods;
seashells;
antique and vintage ethnic elements sourced from different countries.
Sometimes a piece begins with a stone. Sometimes with a rare vintage element. Sometimes with an image or idea that gradually takes shape through the process of creation.
The material itself often becomes the starting point of the artistic journey.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Every piece by EUGENIKA JEWELS is created by hand in the studio.
Depending on the concept, the process may include traditional metal forging, soldering, stone setting, handcrafted surface treatments, the combination of different materials, and the careful assembly of complex compositions.
Many metal elements are shaped individually rather than produced through casting. Working with sheet metal, wire, texture, and hand-finishing techniques, I create forms that are designed specifically for each piece.
The creation of a commission is a slow and attentive process. Beyond the materials themselves, I consider balance, weight, proportion, movement, and the way the jewelry interacts with the body.
Each detail has its place, allowing the final piece to become not only an object to wear, but a complete artistic work.
COMMISSION PROCESS
Creating a custom piece begins with a conversation.
1. Concept
You share your ideas, references, preferred materials, colors, forms, or pieces from the Eugenika Jewels archive that inspire you.
2. Development
We discuss the concept, scale, materials, budget, and timeline. I select stones, elements, and details that best express the direction of the piece.
3. Creation
After approval and a deposit, the work begins in my Saint Petersburg studio. Each piece is created by hand as a unique work.
4. Completion
Once finished, the remaining payment is completed and the jewelry is prepared for delivery.
PRICING
The cost of a private commission is calculated individually for each project.
The final price depends on:
the rarity and quality of the materials;
the chosen metal and use of gold or gold finishing;
the complexity of the design and craftsmanship involved;
the number of elements and details;
the use of antique or rare vintage components;
the scale of the piece and the time required for its creation.
A private commission is not a reproduction of an existing model, but the creation of a new artistic work. Therefore, the budget is discussed before the process begins and becomes part of the project planning.
If you have a specific budget in mind, I can suggest an appropriate format — from a more intimate piece such as a pendant or earrings to a larger collectible work.
TIMELINE & PAYMENT
A private commission begins after the concept, materials, budget, and timeline have been agreed upon.
A deposit is required to reserve materials, begin the design process, and start the creation of the piece.
The remaining balance is paid once the work is completed, before delivery or shipment.
The time required depends on the complexity of the design, the availability of materials, and the scale of the piece. Smaller works may take several weeks, while complex necklaces, large statement pieces, and works with rare materials require more time.
Each piece is created individually in the studio and follows its own rhythm of making.
ABOUT EXISTING PIECES
The works presented in the Eugenika Jewels collections are part of the brand’s creative archive.
Many pieces have already found their owners and are now part of private collections. They remain as references to explore the language of the brand — its forms, materials, colors, and artistic direction.
Exact replicas are not created.
Every natural stone, vintage element, handcrafted detail, and material carries its own character. A new commission may be inspired by an existing piece, but it will always become an independent work with its own composition, materials, and story.
Eugenika Jewels is not about reproducing objects, but about creating new ones.
