Inspired by the East
The East has always captivated the imagination with its mystery, opulence and distinctive aesthetic. Its artistic traditions celebrate femininity, inner strength and sensuality. These qualities became the foundation of the BOHEA BOHEME collection.
Meaning and Symbolism
Since ancient times, jewellery has been more than a decorative element. Adornments carried symbolic meanings and were believed to serve as protective talismans, offering their wearer strength, confidence and a sense of protection.
The Kundan Technique
The jewellery is created using the traditional Eastern Kundan technique. Gemstones are set into a heated gold or silver base and, as the metal cools, become an integral part of the setting. This distinctive method creates a sense of unity between metal and stone, while allowing the natural beauty of the gemstones to take centre stage.
Origins of the Craft
The Kundan tradition traces its origins to the royal jewellers of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The technique flourished at the courts of the Mughal dynasty, where it became highly prized, and is regarded as one of the oldest jewellery-setting traditions in India.
Timeless Magic
The BOHEA BOHEME jewellery draws inspiration from Eastern tales and legends. Its allure remains undiminished today, bringing a distinctive mood to the wearer and a touch of timeless enchantment.
