OJ: What inspires your brand?

EM: Nature, art, and the architecture of historic cities. I find inspiration in Gothic cathedrals, Renaissance painting, the colors of the Middle East, and in the beauty of natural materials. Every collection begins with an idea, but it is often the material itself that guides the final form.

OJ: What materials do you work with?

EM: Natural materials are at the heart of my work. Gemstones, precious metals, shells, wood, bone, horn, and found vintage elements all possess their own character. I choose them not only for their beauty, but for the stories they carry and the way they transform within a new composition.

OJ: If you had to describe your jewelry in three words?

EM: Timeless. Sculptural. Distinctive.

OJ: What do you hope to express through your work?

EM: That nature and craftsmanship remain timeless values. Every piece is an invitation to slow down, to appreciate the beauty of materials, and to wear something created with intention rather than produced for mass consumption.

OJ: When did you discover your passion for jewelry?

EM: It began with gemstones. I became fascinated by the way a crystal captures light and reveals its inner structure. That curiosity soon turned into a lasting passion and eventually into my life’s work.

OJ: What do you feel while creating?

EM: Every new piece feels like the beginning of something that did not exist before. Creation is always a moment of discovery, where an idea gradually becomes a tangible object.

OJ: Is there a deeper message behind your work?

EM: I want each piece to celebrate individuality. Jewelry should never hide the person who wears it — it should reveal something unique about them.

OJ: What is your favorite part of the creative process?

EM: Complete immersion. When I work, time disappears. It allows me to focus entirely on form, proportion, texture, and the dialogue between different materials.

OJ: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

EM: Continuing to grow as an artist, discovering new places, exploring new materials, and creating works that become part of people’s lives. The journey itself is the most meaningful part.

OJ: Who do you create jewelry for?

EM: Every piece is created for one person. Like haute couture, it finds its true meaning only when it meets the individual it was meant for.

OJ: How important is the internet for contemporary jewelry?

EM: It has opened the possibility of connecting directly with collectors and people who appreciate handmade work, regardless of where they live. It allows independent artists to share their vision with the world.

OJ: What distinguishes your work?

EM: Balance. Every piece is built through the relationship between form, color, texture, and proportion. I believe that true quality is found in restraint and attention to detail.

OJ: How would you describe your collections to someone who has never seen them?

EM: They are collectible objects to wear—works with character, shaped by history, natural materials, and artistic ideas. Each piece is created only once.

OJ: Is there an element in your work that remains invisible to others?

EM: Soul. It cannot always be seen, but it can be felt in every decision, every detail, and every finished piece.

OJ: How did your journey begin?

EM: Before jewelry, I worked in fashion. In 2010, while creating a collection of silk dresses, I realized I couldn’t find jewelry that truly belonged with them. So I began making my own. The collection sold within a week, but more importantly, I discovered a fascination with gemstones that completely changed the direction of my life.
